Borough Green Juniors 5 vs. Larkfield Youth 1
The Juniors made it seven league wins out of seven when they beat lowly Larkfield with striker Ollie Smith claiming yet another hat-trick. Midfielder George Burkitt also scored and the home side could be pleased with another strong performance.

Kings Hill Colts 1 vs. Borough Green Juniors 3
Ollie Smith hit a fine hat-trick to give Juniors a well-deserved victory away to Kings Hill Colts and keep up their excellent start to the season.
The Juniors produced a battling team performance on a poor, bumpy pitch that hampered their usual passing game. They had two good chances to go ahead before Ollie struck twice in the first-half as the hard-working Juniors denied the home side a single shot on goal.
The second-half was more even but the points were sealed when Ollie smashed home his third. The Colts, frustrated by the effort and determination of the Juniors, grabbed a consolation goal from a corner.
11th November 2018
Borough Green Juniors 6 vs. Ditton Minor Youth 0
The Juniors recorded their second 6-0 league win of the season but this was more difficult than the scoreline suggests. The boys started strongly and created several opportunities but couldn’t put the ball away. Ditton defended stoutly with their keeper looking assured and confident and mounted several dangerous counter-attacks.
With half-time approaching, Ditton broke away and their striker got to a through ball just before Juniors’ keeper Connor Connerty. The two ended up in a heap on the ground and BGJ were mightily relieved when calls for a penalty were denied. The home side would have had few complaints if the decision had gone to the visitors.
To rub salt in their wounds, the Juniors took the lead when Harvey O’Neill fired home to give them a 1-0 lead at half-time.
The second half was a different story as Juniors made their fitness and their passing game tell with goals from Harvey, two from Anesu Mutongi and one each from Ollie Smith and Rhys Cheek.
A smashing game played in a great spirit from both sides.
4th Novemver 2018
Woodcoombe Youth 0 vs. Borough Green Juniors 6
The Juniors pulled off an emphatic away win against third-place Woodcoombe Youth and scored some breathtaking goals while doing so despite missing Anesu Mutongi who was taken ill on the morning of the game.
The opening exchanges were even until skipper Harvey O'Neill chased a long ball down the right. His speed took him clear and he drilled home a marvellous shot from the edge of the box to give Juniors the lead.
This was followed almost immediately by a 25-yard special from George Burkitt which flew into the corner of the net. And when Rhys Cheek took advantage of confusion in the Woodcoombe penalty area to slot home, the game was done and dusted before half-time.
But there was no let-up in the quality of the goals when Ollie Smith scored superbly from an impossibly tight angle and Charlie Farmer unleashed a thunderbolt from outside the penalty area. Ollie grabbed himself a second goal late on to give BG a convincing victory over a side that had gone to Kings Hill Colts and won 1-0 the week before.
21st October 2018
Borough Green Juniors 8 vs. Iwade Herons 2
The Juniors stuttered and stumbled to a far from convincing home victory over Herons who fought hard throughout despite starting with only ten men and then being reduced to nine after their keeper was injured.
Ollie Smith opened the scoring and a hat-trick from skipper Harvey O'Neill saw the Juniors 4-0 up at half-time. If they expected the second-half to be a stroll, the visitors had other ideas and battled gamely scoring twice before eventually conceding late goals to Harvey, Ollie and two from Anesu Mutongi.
Sunday 7th October
Coxheath 2 vs. Borough Green Juniors 2
(Coxheath won 8-7 on penalties)
The Juniors gave first division Coxheath a real run for their money in this Challenge Cup tie before losing on penalties.
The home side took a first-half lead when an intended cross somehow found the top corner. A huge slice of luck.
BG Juniors slowly worked their way into a competitive match and were unfortunate to still be behind at half-time. They had more than their fair share of play in the second-half and might have scored on several occasions before a Coxheath breakaway made it 2-0.
To their credit, the Juniors showed enormous fight and character and two goals from skipper Harvey O'Neil got them level. They even had another goal somewhat harshly disallowed.
The penalty shootout was dramatic and, sadly, the Juniors came up short but can draw great comfort for their part in a smashing game.
30th September 2018
Hartley de Sales 2 vs. Borough Green Juniors 7
The Juniors recorded an emphatic victory away to Hartley, last season's title rivals, despite going a goal down in the opening minutes. They struggled to impose themselves in the first-half on a difficult pitch before a goal from Ollie Smith brought them level as half-time approached.
The equaliser proved to be the turning point as the Juniors then took control and dominated on the home team in a one-sided second-half. Two goals each from Anesu Mutongi and Rhys Creek and strikes by Charlie Farmer and Jack Reynolds saw the Juniors romp home in style.
Sunday 16th September
Borough Green Juniors 3 vs Ditton Minors 0
Two goals from Anesu Mutongi and one from in-form striker Ollie Smith gave the Juniors a convincing 3-0 Cup win over first division Ditton Minors. The home side were always in control of a scrappy game and now face Coxheath in the next round.
Sunday 9th September
Borough Green Juniors 2 vs. Bearsted 1
A wonderful header from striker Ollie Smith with just seconds remaining gave the Juniors a hard-fought but well-deserved victory over Bearsted.
The Juniors had made most of the running in the first-half but the Bearsted keeper gave a confident, assured performance to keep the game 0-0 at half-time.
Borough Green took the lead on the hour with a fine individual goal from striker Rhys Cheek who had proved a strong-running handful throughout for the opposition's defence. He tore away from the halfway mark, drew the keeper and planted a solid shot into the corner of the net.
That strike looked like being enough but the Juniors conceded a cheap corner with five minutes to go and poor marking saw Bearsted equalise with a soft header.
Bearsted pressed for the winner and looked the most likely of the two teams to snatch a winner but another powerful run by Rhys forced a last-minute corner from which Ollie thumped a magnificent header in off the crossbar to seal the division two points for the Juniors.
A strong start to the season considering Borough Green were without defenders Billy Wicks and the injured James Jacouris.
